Italian tenor Antonino Interisano will be making a welcome return to Teatru Astra to sing the part of Pollione in the Norma on Thursday 27 and Satruday 29 October 2011.
Antonino who is no-new comer to the patrons of the Teatru Astra was the Duke of Mantua in Verdi's Rigoletto (Teatru Astra, 2009) and Calaf in Puccini's Turandot (Teatru Astra, 2008). Back in 2006 he excelled in the rendition of Canio in Leoncavallo's I Pagliacci and Turiddu in Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana (Teatru Astra, 2006).
Antonino Interinano is a tenor whose lyrico-dramatic voice enables him to tackle the most intriguing repertoire with confidence and assertion. He began his vocal technique studies privately at the young age of nineteen. In 2000 he was coached at the Academy headed by world renowned Katia Ricciarelli, after which he had the privilege to further improve vocal studies with M° Leone Magiera, and theatre studies with the famous tenor Luciano Pavarotti.
His debut was at the Teatro dell’Opera, Roma in the role of Rodolfo in La Bohème. In the last few years his repertoire has grown remarkably grew with the interpretation of the most demanding roles: Foresto in Attila, Cavaradossi in Tosca, Turiddu in Cavalleria rusticana (at the Teatro Politeama Greco, Lecce, under the artistic direction of Katia Ricciarelli), Ascesa e caduta della città di Mahagonny of Kurt Weill, Manrico in Il trovatore (at the New National Theatre of Tokyo), Don Carlo, Don Josè in Carmen, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi (under the artistic direction of Katia Ricciarelli), Radames in Aida, Ismaele in Nabucco, Calaf in Turandot, Don Alvaro in the Forza del Destino and Canio in Pagliacci.
