The La Stella Philharmonic Society is a voluntary organisation registered with the commissioner for voluntary organisations (VO 0348). It owns and manages the La Stella Band Club and the Teatru Astra complex.

The society's primary objectives are:

• The promotion of music and the arts through the La Stella Band,
• The organisation of the feast of St George every third week of July, and
• To oversee and manage the operations of Teatru Astra.

The organisation actively supports the education of its members through the La Stella School of Music and the Piccole Stelle Choir, a children's choir comprising of 40 members.

The Society's initiatives and projects are primarily funded by its members' voluntary work and donations, competitive grants, and sponsorships.

All donations received in support of these initiatives contribute to the vitality of this unique institution, which is entirely sustained by voluntary work
