La Traviata leading singer features in Malta's main female magazine

The monthly English-language magazine PINK, issued today with the daily newspaper The Times, carries an exclusive interview with Gozitan soprano Miriam Cauchi in its Snapshot column. Ms Cauchi, who will be taking on the very demanding role of Violetta in Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata, speaks about her career, her interpretation of roles in Teatru Astra opera productions so far, the opera scene in Gozo, current preparations for La Traviata and her upcoming interpretation of Violetta.
La Traviata is another Teatru Astra production which will see two representations, on Thursday 28 and on Saturday 30 October.
Heavily-discounted student tickets are available while opera patrons are invited to a free public lecture about the dynamics of La Traviata which will be held on Monday at the Robert Samut Hall in Floriana at 6pm.
