NEW WEBSITE LAUNCHED

A new website catering specifically for the Festival Mediterranea will be launched today by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi.

Brandishing an attractive layout, this website will provide a thorough insight of the festival’s history and the upcoming programme for this year’s edition.

The key feature of this website is the online booking service. This will facilitate all culture lovers’ access to tickets of the many and diverse performances and events spanning the festival.

The revived website will also include an overview of the illustrious history of the Astra Theatre, focusing on the many opera productions performed there. Photo albums of recent productions will be another sought-after feature in the website.

During Festival Mediterranea, the island of Gozo showcases its history, artistes and culture. The collage of opera, classic and symphonic music as well as folkloric elements, provides the participant with a unique experience of the island and most importantly, an appreciation of the island’s and its people’s potential.
