The Sunday Times reports on 'Sound Tracks Alive'

20 February 2011

Following the acclaimed success of last Saturday's spectacular concert at Teatru Astra, today's Sunday Times of Malta (20 February 2011) carries a note worthy piece and photo of the concert.

Music from the movies

A evening of popular film soundtracks and musicals released over the past 50 years was recently held at the Astra Theatre in Victoria. The La Stella Philharmonic Band, directed for the first time by young conductor George Apap, played soundtracks from Titanic, The Godfather, Last of the Mohicans, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, Beauty and the Beast, The Mission, Schindler’s List, The Lion King, The Mask of Zorro, Ben-Hur and selections from Hans Zimmer’s The Da Vinci Code. Natalie Sciortino’s Centre Stage Dance Academy provided the choreography to some numbers.
