Three new posters

Teatru Astra has just released three new posters in the run up to the ninth edition of Festival Mediterranea.  A second version of the opera La Traviata poster, a poster detailing the heritage events happening in this year’s edition of the festival and another which includes the full programme of event of the festival are already on the Teatru Astra’s notice boards and eventually will be circulated in Malta and Gozo.  Besides the detials of the events, the latest printing includes the logos of the partners through which collaboration the festival is being organised.

The festival committee in the coming weeks will be unveiling further marketing initiatives aimed at promoting the twenty events which make up the 2010 festival.  Moreover, further posters are expected to be published soon, including the one of the Annual Grand Concert which is the musical highlight in the calendar of events of the resident La Stella Band.  Rehearsals for this concert, under the direction of Prof Joseph Vella and his assistants, are progressing steadily in the Giuseppe Giardini Music Hall at the La Stella Club.

Festival Mediterranea is an annual festival of culture, featuring opera, music, drama, dance, history and archaeology, local crafts, food and wine, and art. This year's edition runs from the 28th October to the 27th November 2009. Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata in fact takes pride of place in this year's programme of events, with a double representation at the Teatru Astra - on Thursday 28 and on Saturday 30 October. Both representations start at 7.30pm.
